He began writing poetry in 1990, Salaakhen The story began five years later, “My writing changed in a way,” Dutt told the BBC he was inspired by a song from the film Suhaag.

But Salaakhen 1998 is not only about him. When I started writing, I thought I was writing about me. What I understood later was that I was writing about the men and women who were imprisoned with me, who were released after 1998. Salaakhen 1998 shows men and women like me who are still behind bars, have been waiting for 21 years.

I think it is impossible to call Salaakhen 1998 a book, Salaakhen is written in “half-sher” form, that is to say, one line starts with one word and is followed by its rhyme. There are some books in India written in such a form. The world of Salaakhen is one of the books.

Salaakhen is based on many things, including memories of my first inmate-husband, the first three years in jail, my struggle to survive without a job, the consternation of my daughter, friendship, hope and certainty, friendship, self-respect, and acceptance of who you are.

the film also stars amrish puri, raveena tandon, mohan joshi, david, rishi, yatin, ameet bajaj, raza murad, vijayendra ghatge, prithviraj and many more. if you want to watch salaakhen full movie, you can do so by clicking the button below.
wow! that’s all i have to say about salaakhen! this is an extraordinary movie, brilliantly edited, and most of the actors (anupam kher, farida jalal, sunny deol etc.) mesmerise and mesmerise, never letting you forget that they are the best their forte ever is. the director’s (guddu dhanoa) style of making comedy is unparalleled and every single scene is brilliant.
the basic plot revolves around a john (who may or may not be a teacher) who takes the law into his own hands and a young man trying to avenge the death of his father. it is obvious that this is an indie/non-costly’making of the storm’ of a movie. one scene follows the next. it’s just a frenzy of energy. an action packed scene that is worth every second.
a young man, who is from the village, has a dispute with a young woman about her kids’ and her’s? serious rivalry. he is banished from the village, but still refuses to accept defeat. he is killed. his son avenges his death. the ruthless killers find out about the kids and kill them. the school teacher, who was a witness to this crime, is tortured to death.
